back for more. Parts 1,2and 4 on page 58 1.2. Are the thinnest part of the bridge base and the small part 4. that has to go on top have a faire bit of fileing to get a good fit

And after all the sanding and file work nice and flat

Hi Jinks,

Thats looking really good mate, will keep an eye on your build as I am not starting mine till i have all the parts as I still have a fair way to go on my bissy yet. As your going radio control how do you think this will be affected by the superstructure? As just from handling the metal parts I have they are mighty heavy and would think this would cause big problems with the ship capsizing?

thanks AFK have had a good look at the ship and the water line is quite a way up so should have to put a faire bit of laed in her to counter the super structure. Back to the job in hand had to correct what I did wrong on the bow had to many sections so it was to high had to get one off this was dun by heating the glue and prize the block off as you can see from photo’s it is not till I got to the planking that this was noticed I though I fowled the build instructions to the letter all I can think is I had 16 building blocks and not 15 but still put it right

Now for more metal bit’s apart from making the individual bits fit and putting more windows in it has gone pretty well a few gaps to fill

A bit more dun the vents are not as you get them I have filed away the parts to be painted black then put sum of the fine mesh over the hole to me it looks a lot better .

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen was just thinking thank god for digital cameras as it would cost a bundle and be hared to put photos on a site such as this. I use my JVC video cam now back to build . The ventilation grills I have not glued them together I have soldered them but gluing or soldering if the grill is to go on to a wall that is curved the grill must be curved to fit this is best dun before the grill is assembled as you can crack the glue and have to start over again. This can be dun by putting the peace to be bent on a flat surface and rolling a round bar ‘i.e.’ a screw driver or similar over it.. I forgot and paid the price.Cutting out the mesh if you have trouble with measuring them stick the back plates to the mesh with sticky backed plastic as blue peter would say and use then as a template.

And this is 1 in place. that's it for now just got parts 7/8 Drool

The guns the tiny, tiny 1s the photo is not to clear of witch way they are assembled so if mine are the wrong way round I apologise in advance. The only other thing is the wire sent with them it is bent as if it has din taken from a large roll quite understandable it would keep the cost down and bent wire means bent barrels go to the model shop and get a straight bit of the same die your guns will look a lot netter and it will do all the small guns get 2 and 1 thinner bit and you have all you need to do the small mast and radio antenna on the gun direction finder as well. It only cost me around a fiver and I got 10,5 of each thickens and that was at the most expensive model shop in my part of the county but first what came in pack 7/8

Sorry about this gentel pepol but have lost sum pic'scan not find them so onley got half of that set. Blink

Just a few pics off deck planking and the method i am using to do the corking

and this is what you get

All so started to paint sum Small bits as repainting a the Cossack starting to look a bit tatty after 3 years at sea

Will be sailing this to night at Primrose Valley not had it on the water for a bit

Think I have figured out the steering for the Yanato sail by fishing line this in conduction with a motor mixer should get it to go in the right direction the photos that follow show the principal the ruder arm is not fixed yet as I not got ruder yet

the fishing ilne is no stretch and has a bracking point of 35lbs used it on my Yorkshire coble and that was built 2 years ago so should last

Hear are a few pic’s of the deck and sum more of the guns will have more of the full deck later At the blunt end in the build photos of the hull near the hanger deck they have just cut it at 45 degrees as in fig 1 but in the book on the Yanato it shows that it is stepped down as in fig2 and the photo they may chang it later

the water proofing is Thompson’s clear water seal later it will be given a few coats of satin varnish

Thanks Trawler will look at the photo on Kure museum site a little closer but as you can appreciate their is a vast difference in scale and sum things are just not feasible on 1/250 the deck is one that is. Will modify my deck to incorporate the border should make it better

Not a bit found it rather satisfying must be a masochist at hart think the secret is not to do to much at once and go slowly do not rush ho and a good set of tweezers have a set the ends are very thin all most pin sharp at the ends can pick up very fine things with them Blushing
