Nemesis wrote:Cracking finish on the paint work. Will you be weathering at all? Hi Nem . Thanks. I would like to but I have never weathered anything before and there is always the fear of messing it up . I would have to try on a cheap plastic kit first. Best regards. Mark

Thats the way I learnt my weathering techniques, lots of Google and an old plastic kit. And I still use it today for new tricks!

Nemesis wrote:Thats the way I learnt my weathering techniques, lots of Google and an old plastic kit. And I still use it today for new tricks! Hi Nem. One of the problems I keep getting is when I spray a mat varnish over the model I keep getting big white blobs when it dries and I am not sure why.. But that is no excuse really and I should get my behind in gear. Best regards. Mark

If your getting blobs its usually because of a build up in the nozzle and then it spits. Try thinning the varnish or a slightly higher pressure.

Another thing to check is that the water trap is empty as any excess water here can also be sucked up to cause the splater. Some people also add an inline water trap aswell to be doubly sure of preventing this. They screw into the top of the hose then into the airbrush. loads here on Flee-bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/sc...?_nkw=inline+water+trap
Hope this is of help Regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
