Hi Nigel, not sure about RSI but certainly know the eyeballs will cross over a few times with all that treenailing...  .. Think the effort will be worth it though....  .. Thanks for looking in..... Regards Alan

Second layer of planking on one side of the upper hull just completed...  .. Next stage is to let it dry before trimming around the ports, bow and the top of the hull... will then make a start on the treenailing....  .. Am pleased I decided to complete the upper hull this way....  Hope you enjoy the pics... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

She is looking really good Alan  .When you do get to the rubbing down stage on the second planking I would start with no coarser than p240.I find silicon carbide paper gives a better finish than aluminium oxide.Aluminium oxide is often green or yellow but silicon carbide is light grey.B&Q sell it in 5m rolls as a between coats abrasive,it has a self lubricating quality that polishes the wood. Had a look at my stash of sanding material and am pleased to find I have p240 silicon carbide paper so will be following your advice on the rubbing down stage....  .. Thanks again, Alan
