Ron It is green putty, filling some of the joint lines. Darren

Last time about this I promise, but I didn't see the turret facing rearward in the movie, but that scene moved so fast I really didn't get to take everything in. Maybe if I get to see it a second time I will pay more attention.
I still don't see how it can rotate. If it does, the gunner station does not rotate with it. Even based on diagrams, its not supposed to. Not like it couldn't rotate and require the gunner to use sensors and/or cameras to shoot.
I second the question about whats up with the green stuff. That's what this forum is all about, asking questions. Took a screen shot from episode 7, not a very good one but can just make out the quad guns pointing rearwards. The green stuff is putty. Darren

At work right now but in one of the magazines issues 1-4 there's a diagram showing the firing radius of the turrets. Only can be achieved if the turrets rotated. Also I believe the falcon needs to be rescaled. Inside and out to solve a lot of issues.

Just to confuse matters even more Star Wars ANH, just after they have rescued the princess. The turret has not rotated but the Quad Gun has articulated. This picture was taken from screencaps are provided free for non-commercial entertainment and education Darren

In the first issue they specifically talk about the gun Turrets. I don't see where it says anything about the turret rotating. It confirms your screen cap. That the turret itself swivels left and right. I still can't seeing it cover this much area without rotating.

spudtrooper37 wrote:Wow! i have not posted for a while but have been enjoying looking at everyone's builds and they are all very impressive. i am up to issue 33 now. I have assembled the frame and also painted most of the hull plates using Tamiya Insignia White, as per the Steve Dymszo you tube tutorial. Not started the hold area, still deciding on what to do with that. Keep it simple as per instructions or add some shapeways components. Everything has gone really well but have noticed that the last few hull plates don't fit very good. They are plates BP19,20,21,22 anyone else had a problem? see last pictures Finally seeing the assembly instructions revealed the solution to me. I had the same issue having attached them assuming that the hull plating order was always based on which piece overlapped. The rear of the Falcon proved to have an exception. One of the rear plates (can't remember if it was BP-19 or BP-21) is actually put on after the plate that overhangs it. It forces you to wedge it under that plate very tightly to secure it. Doing so resolved this issue for me.

He must be new here. It's common knowledge that bananas are always the preferred item to use for scale.

Issue 57 coming soon with the circuit board. Where we get to test the ramp and light. Looks like J3 socket is for the ramp motor The location for it seems to be at the rear just behind the turret Darren

I don't know much about circuit boards, but that looks like more than just the cockpit, ramp, ramp light, engine and 2 gunner lights. I guess I have no idea how many spots the engine will take or maybe they left a few spots for our own lighting.
