Hi Bernd she is coming together now lovely work . I have looked on the web for darker woods but can't seem to find some that fits the bill , Stain might be the way to go . Hi Bernd Looking Superp. The wood you wher asking Martyn about wallnut comes in light and a deeper brown shade. i used this on my lower victory deck. hope this helps Ian. Current builds.Hachettes build the bismark,HMS Victory, HMS Hood. Finished Builds Corel HMS Victory cross section.

Hi! Now the upper row of gunports got some frames, not a job I really like Finished that I started to make the bow a little bit stronger. In the instructions some 5x2mm wooden strips should be glued there. I decided to do it in another way. I prepared them alone on the working place and sanded the front nearly to a knife (sorry, I don´t find better words for this). Can see why you worked off the ship on the bow additions Bernd, would be rather awkward trying to shape the attached strips any other way.... Great idea and looking fab.... ..Very well done... Regards Alan
