Thanks everyone,

F84F

I glued in the front of the nose piece. This includes the landing gear bay for the front wheel. There is a steel ball in this piece which prevents the model being a tail sitter. The resin cockpit doesnt fit with the landing gear piece so I sawed off some of the rear of the landing ear piece.I also painted the sidewalls. The resin cockpit doesnt fit that well so it will need a bit of fiddling around to get it in the right spot and get the fuselage sides to mate up properly.

The resin cockpit tub is fitted. As you can see it was a very tight fit.I spent an hour fiddling to get the instrument panel fitted and the fuselage sides glued together.next step is to deal with the fuselage seams and start spraying the metal .I will be using Tamiya lacquer for this plane with some metalizer for the exhaust.

The f84f is now having its seams fixed and soon will go to paint so I started on the Taimya f84g.This will be an out of the box build. The cockpit is pretty nice.

This kit is already painted in silver paint.I plan on seeing how it looks without paint. The wingtip fuel tanks need to be painted so I built them and sanded off the paint.

Thanks everyone,
So I got an F100C kit.It was Trumpys 1/48 kit.I compared it to the F100D kit.It is almost identical except for the tail. There are no F100c thunderbirds decals, but I think I can use the F100D set that warbirds decals sells and use a bit of red paint to make the tail decal work.here are the two fuselages. The F 100C is the lower one.

I am in the process of selling some of my plastic kits and I found I already had a 1/48 F-16 Thunderbird kit, so I now have 2 of these with eduard cockpit sets.So I figured I will build one plane in flight and one on the ground. There are typical Tamiya quality.Excellent detail and perfect fit so far.

F100C

I started work on the F100C and D. I bought eduard cockpit sets for both.Unfortunately I bought a 1/72 set for the F100D which obviously doesnt fit the 1/48 cockpit.oops.

Anyway here is the f100C cockpit with the eduard detail set added.
