Good Evening and a very late night post from me but I couldn't help myself after the progress I made earlier. I have successfully made my very own DIY water slide decals. They have turned out very well and i'm sure Brian will be blown away when he sees his logo in miniature. If anyone is interested in how I made them I will start a 'How To' thread in the relevant section of the forum. The attached photos show the actual van and then the model. I'm so happy with the decals! File Attachment(s): Sticky Wickett attached the following image(s): Completed projects: 1/43 scale Bedford HA van / 1/43 scale MG TD sports car Current projects: 1/48 scale U-boat [U230] Future projects: 1/148 scale railway diorama / 1/50 scale R/C Volvo F89 logging truck / 1/148 scale Thunderbirds Fireflash

I then painted in the window seals. This didn't turn out 100% first time as I had 'bleed through' from the masking tape. I then had to re-touch with a fine magic marker to correct the lines adding a bit of white where the seals were too thick. The results turned out reasonably well. Next up I fitted the glazing. I chose to cut it so that the passenger window is fully open and on the drivers side the window is wound half way down. I downloaded an actual tax disc from 1977 and resized it to the correct scale; about 2.5mm in diameter, so very small. The edges look a bit ragged but this is a close up photo and when viewed in real life you would hardly notice. Evening Fellow Modellers, More progress has been made on the Bedford HA van. I decided to build my own scratch built wind screen wipers as the originals were moulded into the windscreen and had no definition. I used 0.8mm half round plastic rod for the wiper blades and 0.8mm round plastic rod for the arms and 1.0mm diameter rod where the arms attach to the body. I painted the wiper rubbers as one length in matt black before cutting to size and gluing to the windscreen. The arms, similarly to the rubbers were made as one length, painted in aluminium with a small round of the 1.0mm rod glued to each end of the rod. When dry, I cut the rod in half and then trimmed the arms to the correct length. I have to say that i'm very happy with the end result.
