Nice work Andy. So does the plane get skinned or is it displayed with the frame exposed? Best Regards, Ron

Thanks for looking in and your comments everyone, its a skeleton model so no skin to enable people to view what would normally be hidden by the doped linen covering. You could use clear solartex to cover it if you wished bit it is intended to be as seen. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Some more progress, The bungee's have been fitted to the tail skid and the undercarriage axle. The two grab handles by the tail were added along with the foot stirrup to aid getting into the cockpit. Next the wheels were made up by shaping the etch cone sides and then painting the tyre's a light grey. The wheel hubs were added along with the spoke outers, I found with my hubs they were a little short so I added a couple of plasticard washers to the hub and then fitted the wheels to the axle. More soon. Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Thanks for looking in and your comments everyone. The spokes are easy enough to produce the cone effect I used the deluxe bending and rolling back plate that has a rubber mat designed to aid in bending etch along with the conical rolling tool. All the above tools are available from good stockists but here is where I got mine from:- https://www.scalemodelsh...html?infinite=true&

Hi All The engine was made up next but first all the casting burrs were removed and then the engine was constructed. wires were added to the spark plugs and the etch rocker arms were added to the cylinder heads. The engine was then undercoated and once this was dry a coat of aluminium was put on. These engines had a throw away oil system that literally squirted out the oil with the exhaust gases and the oil used was caster oil, to counter the laxative effects of the oil british pilots were given plum brandy to drink . The engine would therefore be covered in unburnt and burnt oil so a wash coat of burnt umber was added to the engine and then the decal added. The copper intake tubes were added next along with the brass push rods. The finished assembly was then added to the fuselage. The cowl was next to be added along with the carved propellor this then finished the build. Its a great kit with some challenges but the result more than speaks for itself as being a quality kit with a result worth displaying. The last few pics show the progress on the figure its now assembled and has been undercoated.
