Hi all More progress. The hull wood came ready primed with a sanding sealer type semi gloss finish but due to the drilling ect it needs sanding back to get a good surface for the clear coat. So the pins have been sanded back to the deck level where needed to get a flat surface, sand paper 1st then wet-n-dry paper getting lighter with the grits until I had a nice smooth finish top and bottom. To remove the dust Isopropyl Alcohol soaked cloths were passed over the hull several times this also gives an indication for a short while of how the finish will look and show any imperfections to put right. The hull will be clear coated in two sections bottom and sides 1st then the upper surface. The bottom and sides have been coated and is now drying. Tomorrow the top surface will get the same treatment. More soon. Sorry - I have to say - I really HATE your build...
Why...???
Because I passed this kit up at a bargain price about a year ago. Oh, I so wish I'd bought it.
Seriously, your build is exemplary. Everyone can learn from what you are doing here. Just stunning.
Roy.
