I lost the issue with the the Union Jacks so I had to resort making my own - to the old dimensions - I'm quite pleased with the result. ... and some rope coils to the cannons Roeland attached the following image(s):

I decided for aesthetic reasons to increase the size of my home made Union Jack by 25 %. Then in proportion I made the ensign sign as per the picture; when I managed to locate issue 119 with the applicable flags in question the flags supplied are a lot larger and I'm not totally convinced that this larger size would have been applicable to the real ship as the ensign sign would have been more than 7 metres long? Hi Roeland the ensign flown by the Victory was 20 feet by 40 feet . They were large so they could be seen in battle. Some of the French flags where even larger Hope this helps Martyn Building ?
