Hi All!
I sent photos that introduce enhancement of osprey model of DDH IZUMO.

This 1:250 osprey model was included as a appendix of No.3 magazine.(No.1) Modelers often think about making the rotors move, and me too.
But the smallest motor that I can get is too large to be installed inside of the engine nacelle. (No.2)

The thickness of the wall is in the way. I made a mold for the parts and buried the motor with epoxy putty and cast an engine nacelle with a motor. (No.3,4 and 5)

I wire the body and wings and pull the wires out of the landing gears to supply electric power. (No.6,7)

Every parts were assembled and an operation test was conducted.(No.8,9 and10) The model is put(not glued) on the IZOMO flying deck.(No.11 and 12)

A video is uploaded on my YouTube channel.

Yutaro

Hi All!
I have to wait for new magazines two weeks more. I enhanced F35B, VTOL stealth fighter models in this waiting period.
I exchanged a canopy parts for a clear part. I painted thin color as coating glass.
One is a closed-canopy model and the other is open-canopy.(No.1)
Jet nozzle is painted with burned iron color.(No.2)
I enhanced more. I tried making F35B fly.
I made some scratched parts for this model (No.3) and attached them on it.(No.4)
I sent some photos of this model on the OZOMO's deck.(No.5-No.10)
Best Regards,

Hi Chris and Alan!
Thank you for your comments on my post.
There are few points for enhancement on IZOMO ship itself. Some modelers in Japan are tend to add details on the helicopters, Osprey and F35B.

Hi All!

I received 4 magazines and parts of IZUMO last weekend.(No.1 and 2) The number of the parts are too small to send 4 posts here , no matter what they were! (No.3)

This time I sent a log for these 4 magazine's building processes.

First I assembled helicopter. I painted black and red on where plastic parts were cut.(No.4)

Other plastic parts were repainted. Because the surface is perfectly plastic. I used the same method as warship's plastic model.(No.5,6)

I assembled one part of the hull of the starbord.(No.7,8)

I have done every process.

I noticed one sentence in the magazine. (No.9)Confused

They say, "If there are any gap among metal hull parts, you should tune screws and repair them by your self. " (No.10)

This gap issue is one of the biggest problem among us, IZUMO's builders.

I guess that how perfectly we tune the screws, these gaps shall be remain on the hull. I realized that DeAGOSTINI Japan has no plan for the issue.Cursing

After reading this message, I gave up the tuning. I decided to use epoxy putty. After the putty curing, I painted only the putty's surface. (No.11)

I don't decide to paint all of the surface of hull at this time.

Best Regards,
Yutaro

Some hull parts with a recess space were added. (No.4,5 and 6)

At this time, I have to exchange 2 LED electric bases and optical fibers.(No.7)

Hi All!

I sent some photos of building IZUMO. At this time, DeAGOSTINI Japan sent me IZUMO's parts of No.31 - 35 magazines.(No.1)
One of the parts was a middle part of flying deck.(No.2)

Some of IZUMO builders say that this series is not "weekly" but "monthly".Mad

Several advertisements were included. They start part new work series of ENTERPRISE model building (No.3) and a small wooden statue of buddha.(No.4)

I enhanced the wall of the hangar deck.(No.5) LED base was attached on the wall part (No.6) and tested to be lighted.(No.7)

Parts of decoy launchers were installed both sides.(No.8,9)

The hull was extended with additional parts.(No.10,11)

I tried to put the flying deck parts on the hull. They were not glued.(No.12)

I have done all the process.

That looks very good.

The parts look very well detailed on the aircraft and helicopter models.

Should make a very nice finished model - wish you well with the rest of your build.

Hi All!
A Happy New Year!
I haven't visited here for a long time, because I changed my job and moved house last year.
I have to stay home, as we are also in pandemic of COVID-19 in Japan. More than 500 new patients are detected every day. They find not only delta strain but also omicron strain in those patients.
My "DDH IZUMO" is in process now a days.
I sent a photos of IZUMO,now.

Best regards,
Yutaro
