Captain David wrote:It's coming along nicely, Derek. I hope my planking will be as good. Hi Cap`n, Thanks for the nice comments, I had a few moments in the planking where things took a bit of a wobble, but, took note of advise from the more experienced builders and took it slowly slowly and I think it was advise well listened to. Good luck with your ongoing build. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Regards Claret Hi Claret, Thanks for looking in,the planking looked like a devil of a job when I first took it on, but, the gun port cutting is scaring the living c**p out of me. Cutting into all that hard work and hoping it`s all in the right place . Well looks like another session of mark it, check it, check it again and again then take the bull by the horns, Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Coming along well Del I have a hard rubber double length sanding block I got from a car bodyshop suppliers. They are fairly inexpensive and do help in smoothing out any high and low spots,I find a normal block a little short to get true lines without alot of constant checking.I also used a piece of garden hose with the paper wrapped around it for the awkward shapes at the stern. Kind regards Nigel
