ISSUES from 87 to 91 Hi everyone I have now completed up to issue 100, but I am showing the photos relating to the issues above and other photos from other issues at random. I have built the model at times in a variance to the schedule in the instructions but this does not distract from the presentation of the model. Ok what follows is a large amount of photos which I hope tell the story of the build rather than words, I will say the first photos show what has to be done and what tools I used to complete the task, here goes:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hi Mike, can I ask what paint you are using for the steel deck? It may be the photo light but it looks a little dark. “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

jase wrote:Hi Mike, can I ask what paint you are using for the steel deck? It may be the photo light but it looks a little dark. Hi Jase, its Humbrol spray Acrylic Tank grey 67 with the lighter grey being Humbrol sea grey 27. The photos have been taken without flash, the colour in real life is lighter, and is as near as dam-it to the colour suggested, I am very pleased with the finish, thank you for your question Kind regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Mike, It is looking great, I have finally got back round to progressing mine again so plan to upload pictures this weekend. I haven't strictly been following the instructions as i have been trying to prepare the hull as best i can before painting any of it in a bid to reduce the amount of dust. When do you think the superstructure deck component would be glued into the hull as obviously i wont be able to complete the sanding until this has been done. Cheers Peter
Current builds: Amati 1:200 Hood; D51 200 Bought and on the waiting list: HMS Endeavour's Longboat, 1:90 San Juan Nepomuceno, Titanic Lifeboat,1:200 Bismarck Strip and Rebuild [b]Built:1:250 Titanic

Hi Virtue good you are back in the groove look forward to seeing your photos. I am not fitting the centre deck section till all the hull is finished, otherwise as we turn the hull over items will get knocked off.
