That howitzer looks fantastic Daran, even when it's unpainted and putting the figure next to it gives a very good idea of how big it was in reality.
Nice work so far my friend, well done!!

The solder wire turned up today. I prefer using solder as its easy to bend into any shape and stays where you bend it without springing back. Pipes have been replaced and when its properly dry I can have a clean up. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Nem,
Your last photo just caused my memory bank to open a little. The hose material supplied was not overly flexible and just would not drop realistically on its hanger. (The buckles sucked also) I replaced my with electrical wire but you may also just line the supplied hose with your solder wire to hold it in shape. Just a thought.

Made quite a leap forward today. I have filled the flywheel, I cut out 2 discs of very thin plasticard to cover the holes and has given the result I wanted. The roof timbers have been cut from some planks I had kicking about the parts drawer. The engine is as far as I can go without paint, so all of the parts for the main assembly got a coat of primer. There are some marks I need to fill in the front boiler and the roof so out came the Mr Surfacer. There are a few more parts to prime tomorrow and I will also give a coat to the howitzer while I have the primer out. Then I can get some base colours down on the engine, howitzer and Joe's body! Looking good Daran, nice work so far. I think I would have replaced those spiral stanchions that hold up the canopy with plain plastic rod though as they look a bit too ornate for a war machine? Just an observation my friend and thought I'd point it out?
