Looking good Andy and making nice progress with this. I really like those brass cowl flaps and they're beautifully assembled - well done.

You're right Andy, those etch gills make a massive improvement. great job with the paintwork.

Hi All After the Alclad had been left to dry for a couple of days a coat of chipping medium was sprayed over all the parts painted silver and again left for 24 hours. The airframe and any other parts were then given two coats of Semi-gloss black, at the same time all the undercarriage parts have been painted and are ready for fitting. Both engines have now been made up and the etch baffles and ignition wires added. The cowls have also been sprayed up and after the black was dry the flying surfaces were added to the fuselage. more soon. Hi All The widow has legs at last  . After leaving the paint to dry properly for a couple of days I proceeded with the heavy chipping along the front of the wings, lower nose cone rudder fins and central elevator wing. Once this was done I have started to add the decals and once completed there will be a clearcoat added to seal them in and then more weathering on the fuselage to be done using oils and a wash at the end. There's a lot of really nice details on this the chipping looks great, I also love the big decal at the front

Hi All All the decal detail along with warning signs has now been added and im just waiting for them to dry properly. As you can see from the close up of the round decal its picture of a black cat shining a torch and holding a smoking gun, bit felix like I think. The round hole in the underwing decal is where the wing light is positioned and not a broken decal. There are only four widows left in the world 3 are in museums the other was recovered from the side of a mountain and is being restored to flying condition as we speak.
