28: Another radio set and started work on the radio station frame. The kit is now 20% finished and consists of 497 parts at this point. I'm not satisfied with the faces on the radio sets and will likely redo them.

So, as I said, I have not been satisified at all with how the radio sets turned out (top part of the photo). I've managed to get my hand on another sheet of PE for the sets and have started on an improved rebuild. Here's a sneak preview (bottom part of the photo).

Been a while. I've started to tackle the next set of seven issues all dealing with more tiny parts for the cockpit. With issue 29 I work a bit more on the frame for the radio equipment

It HAS been too long. Issue 30: More tiny gadgets for the cockpit. This time it's some type of homing signal receiver apparently.

great to see you back on this Greyhawk. It seems like a kit that no one manages to finish based on internet searches of build diaries. Most seem to give up on it for some reason.

There are some finished but it's easy to burn out on. I hope my new approach with divvying up the kit into packs of seven issues will help with that.

Very nice to see this build making progress once more Graham and one which I will be following with great interest, well done. A shame that so many don't see completion but I should imagine it's the prospect of so much soldering brass bits together that puts people off maybe?

I think thats a good idea.I am currently building a kit which is mostly photoetch. After a while your back and eyes hurt from hunching over and you have to repeatedly resist the urge to drop it on the floor and stamp on it when it wont bend properly. Carl

The nice thing about this kit is that there really is no trouble with things bending the way they should, so that's cool. 31: More tiny things, including the battery

Very nice, the detail is amazing. I have made a few of those simple metal earth models so I can imagine how fiddly those tiny brass parts must be. Current builds: HMS Victory, hachette black pearl, DC-3, R2-D2, Millennium Falcon
