Nice work. Its also impressive how well you are doing with the limited function in your hands.
As for the last 10 planks. Mine worked out similar. So rather then been left with 0.5mm gap at the end. I would divide the 45.5 by 10 planks for a nice fit. Also because its nice have a little left to play with than a little under if you've over sanded any.
Regards,
Neil
PS, I am a little infront of you, but you are catching me up fast!

Hi Alan! The planking looks spot-on so far - a fair amount of filler and she will look perfect once sanded down!
Keep up the good work!Greetings, Walter

Thanks for your comments and advice. Neil, I will take your advice and work off the the 45½mm. I did not consider over sanding when thinking about it. The ½mm could easily grow to a large gap. Tanks again, Alan Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!

Closed up the starboard side. I'm quite pleased with it although some filler will be needed (photos 1-4). Now to start on the port side. I've bought the copper tiles for the hull so I'm not too concerned about how it looks as long as it's smooth. NikonD60 attached the following image(s): Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!

Looks good Alan. Don't worry about the filler if you're tiling it though.

Hi Alan,
She's looking good. Those last 10 planks are like been on a long distance run and seeing the finish line in sight. You find a chunk of energy to push you across that finish line.

AT LAST - FINISHED PLANKING THE HULL! Getting there. Finally fitted the last plank (photos 1-4). I was concentrating so hard on getting the last planks fitted, I never considered turning it over and shaking the dropped pins and cuttings out. When I put it on the stand I discovered that I was the owner of the largest maraca in North Tyneside! Had to ease the garboard plank back to shake it all out (photos 5-7). Time to start sanding. might be a while. Alan. NikonD60 attached the following image(s): Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!
