Hi Team, I have a further meeting tomorrow, please understand the outcome of this project will depend on a viable cost to produce the enhancement, and above all a reasonable retail price, if we do not achieve this criteria, the project will not fly. We achieved this with the Boarding Pikes, but the Gallery enhancement is a different animal, much more work involved. I will give another update over the week end. regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Good luck for tomorrow Mike, and hope the outcome is satisfactory. The boarding pikes were a real gem but I do understand there would be a lot more work involved with producing the gallery enhancement for us, so I'll sit here and keep my fingers crossed for the outcome. It would be brilliant if we achieved a price as good as the boarding pikes, but I know that's unrealistic, but I for one would be willing to stretch my bank balance for this one. Happy building David

IMPORTANT UPDATE. Hi Everyone, First I would like to point out, that I am not a trader, and I have no business in the model trade. I am like you a modeller, who would like to have more accurate detail on my Victory, to this end I enlist the support of you guys who are wanting the same things, to obtain economy of scale for all. Second Deag do not endorse my enhancements, and do not have any material benefit in my enhancments. I would like to thank Deag for their understanding, in realising where I come from and what my agenda is. Thirdly I would like to thank you the Members for supporting, what will be my final enhancement for the Deag Build The Victory. OVERVIEW I had a great meeting today to discuss the feasibility of a Gallery enhancement, with my Manufacturer this is how it went:- 1)We believe the enhancement is possible however we will not know for certain until the end of this month (March)when we will have a definitive on viability. 2)We will be looking to produce 2 sheets, sheet 1)will be 0.3mm and will contain the window enhancement; sheet 2) will be 0.5mm and contain the ballustrades which will be fitted over the first sheet and when fitted will give the feeling of depth, when looking through to the windows. Here are some photos, of 1.72 scale for reference.(ours would be 1.84 scale) 3)We will retain all the metal scrolls and motiffs as supplied by Deag. Please have a look at the photo:- 4)We have some good news to add, many of you have asked for the following, we will be able to have the binacle etched in brass plus the correct Victory sign etched in brass all to our scale at no extra cost have a look at photos (these are 1.72 scale ours will be 1.84):- 5)The ships wheel. We can have this brass turned with brass etch detailing,we are working out a price for 2 wheels as a split wheel, you will see from the photo it is the same size as the one supplied in the build, but the spokes are more to scale here is the photo:- We will if all things are equal market the whole as a package 2/4and 5. If we have a good result from the feasibility study by the end of march, production will be complete by the end of May. Now how many of you want to stay on the list?will you be prepared to pay a 20% deposit for the package before production? if it is viable the whole package will not cost more than £50 Please let me know in the usual way. Questions and comments welcome. I have posted alot of info so I will let you digest it. Best regards Mike Gilmore PS I have permission to post the Photos MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Sorry Jase, I was still typing so if you read again you will see the approx projected cost,it could be cheaper at this time we do not know Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

That looks really good Mike. I've already got past the stage of the build for the ship's wheel so that would not be of interest to me (unless its part of the package of course) The rest looks amazing and to answer your question, I for one would be prepared to pay an upfront deposit on the enhancement. Still keeping fingers crossed that enough interest is shown in this project to make it feasible to produce. Thanks again for all the effort you have gone too to make this Victory build so special for us all.
Happy building David
