Same here, it's just not what it must be.
I have a few of the originals still mounted but I don't plan to use them. Tried a few things with other wires and metal wire inside the blue ones but still did not find anything really satisfying. Ill share it when I find something better

I tested the inside cables from iPhone charger cable but its too tiny. About the size, the Charger is huge indeed. I had it next to the Samba when I was building it and it's way bigger.

When finished, it’s massive. Even though the specs are posted, you just don’t have a feel for how big it is, until you see the thing taking up half the kitchen table.
