hi trev, the tiling is indeed a trial,I had to get into a mind set, I created a pattern and played around with the tiles to break the monotony, and by doing it this way,it became easier and faster, though removing the superglue from fingers was the worse part for me,leaves them very sore and sensitive to heat.but that over, the next bit I think is just as monotonous all those gun carriages and painting of the brass barrels, the black-it solution doesn't look right,it has a coppery glow to it on the larger pieces. btw the eyelets (eyebolts) for the carriages are so small they are barely visible, unlike the deag ones which are way too big,as this is a bigger scale, some of the parts are way smaller then deags.me rambling on now, must shut up and get on with it. k. Hi Karl, Yes I know what you mean about sore fingers with the coppering ,I think I will use very thin rubber gloves because my fingers paid the price, but I am very pleased with the result so far and would do it again, that coppering on your vic looks stunning. ok,finding this part tough, the eyebolts are so small they cannot be seen 3 foot away(1 metre)and have not a drill small enough (.03mm.)I have managed to fix them, but fear I will change them to a slightly larger size (.05mm.) I have made up 30 cannons so far,and am now concentrating on rigging the cannons and furnishing the middle gundeck. the pics are a little out of order, but you know what I mean anyway.logged time so far :- 260 hours. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/
