will be derivative of Hachette Bismarck got 2 second still in a box as yet but all their just need more guns and stuff like that Did not intend to get 2 but had mishap with sum of the mag’s grand sun spilt coffee on around 60 issues and did not tell me then a offer on EBay for 65 mag’s got them,then what the hell over half way their ordered rest from paper shop.

 when building plastic model ships when a kid i would always build the guns first (the best bit i thought)  looks like i have one or two to do to satisfy my craving Thanks for pics nice to see whats to come

 superstructure coming together lookin' good I see ure before & after pics dull & shiny & the tin shiny too getting a bit carried away with the emery cloth??? but lettering on tin not scratched?? so i was wondering if u are using some other method for cleaning up the metal parts

Hi budgie get most of with 400 wet and dry then finish of with the finest you can get used wet it is messy but gives a grate finish

Thanks jinks8, your efforts look great too Yes all is going well and coming together nicely, the number of guns makes you realise just how powerful the Yamato was, it should turn out an impressive model even in its standard form.

Jinks, if you look at photos of the reals ship, what they call load line cables are actually housed into a rectangular box section which runs around the ship, other than at tight corners where the cable is visible such as at the stern. So it might be an idea to ditch the wire and use plasticard strips, and form mounting straps over the section, have a lok at the photos below which are of the 1/10 Kure museum Yamato. Looks good, I was toying with the idea of brass wire staples to resemble the securing brackets for the section which would be a labour of love

That would be one heck of a job think I will give that one a miss you can go to far especially on a model of this size good luck if you do had my little eccentricity on the windows of the command bridge and the deck.

 Hi Jinx saw ure pics thought u used lenths of square brass plated rods read on that u used round wire which u made square  well done  am green with envy on your patience & skills "hats off to u sir" i might (will)cheat when i eventually get to that stage as noticed on visits to modelling shops that u can purchase cube (square) strips of styrene thanks for putting up pics appreciated

Y thanks Budgie would have left them round but for Tomick sending me photos and i thank him for it so could not leve then round. His build is coming grate,I an going to start the outher side tomorow morr, sorry today have din looking at the photos Tomick sent and on the bow it looks as if the coil runsin to a gril lick thing will have to chech it out.Look at photo on last page
