As you know I have been correcting this as I go and the next issue was the tracks. The issue was with the guide horns, they are too tall, rounded at the top and no slots, so I replaced them with a decent aftermarket set.BigGrin

Can I ask where you purchased the guide horns from, they look so much better

Welsh Dragon Models. They are a complete set of tracks by Taigen, not cheap but worth it. I also replaced the spare track on the turret, again Taigen and from Welsh Dragon. Sprockets, idlers, barrel, muzzle brake and all interior decals came from them. Hope that helps davetwin.BigGrin

The detailing this one is really good.

When complete does this model have the option of lift of parts like the turret top so you can still see all this incredible detail?

Happy modelling

That would be good as a real shame to seal away all that effort never to be seen again.

Well I had to do it!!LOL So I test fitted the 88mm assembly and the turret walls. They are not a good fit!!Cursing But when I come to fit them proper I will spend a bit more time and I am sure I can sort it!!BigGrin BigGrin

Spot the difference!!!LOL BigGrin

I am not sealing this up, the upper hull will be able to lift off so the interior can be seen, and the same with the turret, also the pillars look horrible and hide detail, so Dremmel time tomorrow, turret roof and turret ring will get the same treatment.BigGrin BigGrin

Turret roof pillars are done, but there is more filler work to do as most of the holes are not used, and being as I have made this a June 44 Tiger, NO ROOF BEAMS!! I have left the front 2 supports in the turret ring as they are not in the way being next to the main gun, and cannot be seen easily. Also they are part of the gun supports, so thought it best to leave them alone!!

I have assembled the main parts of the upper hull, and with help from Mr Surfacer 500, no seam lines!!!

Test fit of the upper hull, its huge!!!

Thanks Andy, Dave and Del for your comments. It does have a few issues, but nothing that is too serious and I am enjoying building the Tiger.BigGrin BigGrin

Bit of scratch building. The counter balance arm is missing off of the main gun, and the chain ends in mid air! Out came the plasticard!!!BigGrin

Might not be 100% accurate, but it works for me!!LOL BigGrin

So after much deliberation and cogitation, I have decided to base my build on Will Fey's Tiger 134 in Normandy. I have started with the wheels.
