Hi All The dirtying up commences ,the upper superstructure has had a light coat of the wash and the decks also with another wash, it dousnt show up to well in the pic's but it is there. Now for the hull its had various washes to the upper and lower parts and lastly the dirty streaks added there is still more to add like some rust but im waiting for that to get here. I've put the Belfast on my Christmas list and will have to see what Santa brings! I don't normally build ships, mostly being an AFV modeller but this build has given me inspiration. Also, my Dad served on her during WWII so she has has special place in our family and it would be good to build something larger than the Airfix version. Incidentally, we went to a car boot sale this morning and someone was selling a damaged Tamiya Yamato - it's been started but most of the sprues are still bagged. The hull and main deck are quite badly cracked but hopefully I can repair them. Also, a small part of the superstructure moulding is damaged so I'll have to work out what it should look like. I couldn't resist as it was only £10, not bad since it retails for about 80 quid! If it's too bad, I could always model her as she was on her last day... Still, it should keep me busy over the winter! Baz

Hi Bazzer Good for you and I hope you get her there's not much available as after market stuff but I did use the turned brass barrels in my build and they do make a difference , with a bit of luck the WEM etch set will be available for you that's been promised for so long now.
