The last couple of days has been one of the times where I get a lot time to spend modelling This evening I primed up the 12.7mm guns and made a start on the triple 25mm AA gun, only one done so far, was very fiddly though and only another 29 to go This might take a while The Pontos set does have replacement turned brass barrels for these but I have decided to not to use these as I think the plastic ones look pretty good and I didnt want to torture myself replacing them all

Thanks Alan & Eugene, Its certainly taken me a long time to get to this point and still a fair amount to do, I have learnt so much on this journey and looking forward to it ending so I cant start another project, Im not going to rush it though. It will also be nice to get my medal for finishing a build diary

That is some seriously small etch you have there. Your doing really well to have only had one piece to the phantom of the carpet. Not sure if it would help but the "knights of old" that used to fight "Ye oldy carpet beast" would use a fair maidens stocking over the end of the vacuum extension hose or if fair maidens are not available an old blokes sock works fairly well, lighter the colour the better - but old blokes are not renown but light colour socks Idea being the vac (not sure if we can use the word beginning with H due to copyright ) will suck up anything it finds but rather than shooting down into the bowels of the vac whatever is sucked up should be trapped by the fair maidens apparel -,or in my case old blokes sock. Hope you manage to find your part. Happy Modelling

Hi Dave, you have some serious work ahead of you there that is truly going to test you patience and skill..... From what you've shown so far it shouldn't be too big a problem for you but watch out for that carpet monster..... Good luck, will be following.... Regards Alan

After the long and slow process of cleaning up all the parts in the previous post I have now started the slow task of assembling them. First 10 complete, another 20 to go

I originally thought it would take me 6 months to do this when I started at the beginning of April, think I thought the PE would be easier lol, still if I can complete this before next April I will be very happy
