RM1 wrote:Looking good. The extra details are excellent. May I ask what paints you used on the exhaust pipe? Malc. Hi Malc thanks for looking in and your kind comments.i used Alclad paints, so started with the gloss black base, then used ALC-115 Stainless steel, i then shot a very faint layer (in certain places) of ALC-104 Pale burnt metal and the same with ALC-416 Hotmetal serpia. once all dry a layer of ALC 600 Aqua gloss was applied and again once that was fully dry i used the tamiya weathering master kit "burnt Blue" for the final touch. regards Dan Built - MP4/23, Zero, Deagostini Falcon, Model Airways 1903 Wright Flyer, Senna Mp4/4. regards Dan Hello Dandare, nice Work. I am from Brazil and I am new on ModelSpace. Actually this is my first question in the forum. Before added the carbon decal to the nose box, did you apply any Primer ? The smoke was before or after add the decal ? Thank you very much, sorry about my English, Marcello.

Hi Marcello welcome to the forum sorry for not responding sooner, ive been very busy lately and been unable to do much if any modeling. i primed and painted the nose prior to applying the decal, as the decal itself is transparent and needs a base color. once this was done i applied the decal and then added a light smoke topcoat to dull down the brightness of the base color, which i think i used a mix of aluminium & gunmetal many regards Dan Built - MP4/23, Zero, Deagostini Falcon, Model Airways 1903 Wright Flyer, Senna Mp4/4. Thank you for the kind comments guys, very much appreciated from 3 great modelers . well im still busy as a bee, but managed to find some time for the bodywork, some filler, primer, more filler, more primer you know how it goes. well got the body to a point that it was ready for the base coat! and also managed its first tack coat of lacquer. hopefully over the next few days i can get the decals on and another tack coat of lacquer before applying the first wet coat. dandare attached the following image(s): Built - MP4/23, Zero, Deagostini Falcon, Model Airways 1903 Wright Flyer, Senna Mp4/4.
