Re sanded and re filled the inside of bodyshell to reach a smoothier surface. Fortunately the external of body is mint I started the carbon work on cooling body duct, i followed the refernces images on mfh book I also took the Haynes mauals for Mp4 to have more refrences pics I also find on the net the technical pics of MFH model, they'll help me with future lubrification and cooling system    Tratto dal mio libro references MFH      Da amazon.it  Collection active: Lotus 97T, Audi Quattro A2, Vw Maggiolino '60

Every parts of this chassis ir really complicated with different carbon fiber Nose cone has 2 different carbon Red arrow is carbon extra fine area. Yellow arrow is a little big carbon area  The better color base i think will be a light gun metal. To reach the differences between the extra fine and fine carbon i think to do the upper with 1/32 and the side with museum collection To have right template, I copied the Museum collection template  Collection active: Lotus 97T, Audi Quattro A2, Vw Maggiolino '60

The monocoque.....is a really headache This part is very different color with many particular The monocoque is dividide in 3 different parts The front parts like the rear parts where is fuel tank (brown area) is a bronze color (in other pics seems a brown green mixed) In some 1988 race pics it seems a dark bronze color The central area (red zone) in some pics is black, in other is dark brown. This area is the middle of monocoque until the headrest and cockpit zone I post some pics where the are some color differenc    Motegi Museum    Race season    Ogni foto frega....assume le tonalità più diverse. Scale motorport la fa bronzo, MFH la fa bronzo.....anche a me in gara e in alcune foto del museo appare bronzo. The central area is very dark....is darker than carbon of radiator houding box  I think the best color base is dark brown for middle monocoque area and 1/32 carbon decal Another particular is a different carbon plate where is the engine mount bracket. Radiator housing ducts or radiator box They are really extra fine carbon....many people just leavein plastic or just paint them THey're in carbon and i'll try to coat with 1/32 decal  I think the riaght base is graphite gray Another particular are the washer of rivets. These washer are maade with a a different color carbon Other particular is the area with there are the control unit. The last monocoque area to analyze is the inside. I divided the carbon differences with some area circle. - Yellow area is extra fine inside carbon - Red area is bigger carbon - Blue area is outside carbon Inside the 2 types of carbon. Yellow extra fine and bigger. The extra fine is the whole inside of cockpit. the bigger is for seat and armrest and gearknob cover until the lower right side of dash. The blu area is the outside carbon of central monocoque I saw particular that made me think In this pics (I think motegi museum) is one screw missing. I think that this chassis is restored. In the 1988 season this section is really darker and rough...in the museum is like brown and very smooth. I think this carbon section is a possible replacement with a little bit light carbon The dah board is plastic The inside color base cockpit i think will be in light gray and outide i continued with drak brown. That is some very nice carbon work. It is a pain getting those sheets to conform to curves. I am adding carbon decals to the turbo inlets on my build and it is tedious work. What brand of decal are you using - scale motor sports?

Rich Hi Rich,for turbo inlets i uded a Cartograph chequered carbon (no twill) for 1/24 and I used and Museum Collection template, but i made some cut on decal while i've posed to eliminate the wrinkles. I also used the scale motorsport (Kevlar for my Delta), but i notices that are harder and fragile then Cartograph. I haven't use MC decal yet....i hope will be like Cartograph Collection active: Lotus 97T, Audi Quattro A2, Vw Maggiolino '60
