That's the advantage/disadvantage of being retired and spending between 4-8 hours per day modelling.
Great fun, but the models get built 'too quickly'.

Thanks chaps. The railways has been a bit neglected over the past year but the upshot of that is that all the moss and nearby growth has made it look more realistic and part of the landscape. I'll get around to cleaning it up a bit this summer and get a few trains running. It's nice to see it out of the window at my desk, with a battery loco just chugging round while I'm working. With rechargeables, an engine will go for 5-6 hours continuous. Anyway, the Duc is on the home stretch. Still a great deal to do on the electrical side panels before fitting the bodywork, fuel tank and seats, so actually maybe another 2 weeks... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Absolutely mountains of wiring needed to be scratched for the two electrical side panels. Those areas also provided the locations for the umpteen wires added elsewhere previously. Moving to conclusion now... I'll be sad when it's finished - what next??? Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks Phil. It's a great kin and a fun project. As I mentioned somewhere before, being retired is great but the downside is having tons of time to spend on model making - hence stuff get built fairly quickly. I've moved on a good way now and the beastie is pretty much completed. The fuel tank, seat and fairings all went on in a very straightforward manner and the display case arrived a few days ago. My problem now is WHERE am I going to put the thing??? ...Also, what's next? Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Hello Ken. Very kind words from you. Yes, the Duc is BIG. The pic below was in the earlier stages. The model car is 1/43. The display case the bike is now in is 26" long... As a rough guide, the bike on its stand is about an inch and a half longer than the Heller Traction Avant. The Jaguar on the table is 1/8 scale - the bike dwarfs it.
