Thanks for the feedback guys.
I have to say that this is one of the most enjoyable models I have ever built. The base is so good that a lot of focus can go into super detailing. Frankly, somehow I wish I could build it all over again as I have been able to generate more ideas based on my own build and based on many fantastic contributions from fellow modelers who brought this unique kit to new heights.
I would absolutely be thrilled if we would see more F1 cars from the 70/80 and 90's in this series.

here is the planned layout in the display case. I am still waiting for the base which will be in a milky white, slightly oversized. monzaandre attached the following image(s):

What a fantastic model and display. It looks of the quality you would expect to see in a museum. Happy Modelling

Thanks for all your kind feedback guys. I already feel sad that the build is finished. I use a wooden base with 2 holes, then 2 clear acrylic tubes, stuck a hard foam piece on to that is angled at the same inclination as the chassis display block. Rather simple. monzaandre attached the following image(s):

Hello etools. You ought to create your own build log, rather than post bits in other people's diaries. That way, we can all easily see where you are up to, all in one place.
Roy.
