Some of you will remember Zwong and his fantastic build back in 2013/14 and how he painted the gun ports at the stage before sanding. I thought this would be a good idea so I followed suit. Any slight runs or bleeds of paint then got sanded off now and just some very minor touching-in is required. Next step is some joint filling and then another medium sanding before finishing off. goddo attached the following image(s):

Thanks John. The only concern I have at the moment is the dark mark in the planking adjacent to the foremost top row of gun ports. I may remove that plank for a "clean" one.

If you are painting the model, then don't worry about it. Even though it will be ochre, it should cover OK.

Main keel, stem and stern post now fitted. All sanded and just final going over required. From past experience, the stem can be very vulnerable to knocks, so I mad a "splint" out of off-cuts and clamped it on. Hopefully it will give a bit more protection. goddo attached the following image(s):

I wonder if anyone can advise me please? I have added the additional five planks to the rear of the gallery support and I am wondering if I sand them to follow the underside of the support (as per the black line) or do I leave them horizontal? Hope this makes sense. Regards Chris goddo attached the following image(s):
