Interesting detail on the dash is this part number E18.
I could see where it goes but had no idea what it was. I checked with other MFH builders and got the answer.
Do you guys know? No prizes but I found it an interesting item from this era ... Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Roy. YES... well done Roy. I was completely mystified until I was told. St Christopher patron saint of travelers ( and some other things ). Was apparently put on the dash' of these Italian cars at the time. Once you see the outline it's clear. Malc. RM1 attached the following image(s):

The engine is now installed ( 16 bolts on the chassis brackets + some CA ). I'm installing the radiator pipes prior to completing the radiator itself. Also added the surface effect aluminium sheet to the firewall using the same method as on the dashboard. Distributors / magnetos? added but yet to be wired. Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

The radiator assembly gets this slotted grill made from PE sections. The longer part gets formed and "clips" into the front of the radiator. There's a mesh section front and rear of the radiator body. Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

The body panels are aligned in part by fitting 0,5mm pins and tubes at some of the joints. I will only finish these sections after most of the construction is done on the chassis. Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Now that I understand how the body panels will attach. I've started to assemble and bond the parts together. Front and rear corners plus bulkheads. RM1 attached the following image(s):
