I have read this topic with great interest since the issue regarding the different shades of red was first raised.
In my opinion Deagostini have been hoping that if they ignored the problem for long enough people would just accept the situation, and it has only been for the continued complaints of forum members that they have been forced to comment on the situation.
Their first solution to rectifying the problem was laughable and an insult to the people who have spend alot of money on this model.
We now wait with bated breatth to see what they come up with next and quite honestly the only solution to this is to supply completely new front and rear wings to match the colour of the sidepods.
There is no other solution BUT will they go to that expense........I for one doubt it as it is going to cost them a lot of money.
I hope i am wrong but I have my doubts!
One other thing Deagostini,do something about your awful customer service telephone operatives.

There's not a lot wrong with the customer service operatives - it's more a case of getting someone to answer the 'phone in the first place!
Maybe the DeAg call centre is the size of a broom cupboard with one 'phone.........

There's a lot of opinion about British people getting a rew deal in lots of things, whereas other countries just don't put up with it.
Sadly, in this country we just seem to accept 2nd rate service all the time.

Are those pics from the link below?
To me, the front and rear wings look rather satin compared to the side cowl.
Have a close look at the pics on the link website.
The front wing and rear wing are definitely more 'satin' than the side parts of the car which look almost wet in certain shots.
I looks to me as if the Japanese version had the same colour/finish issues as us which would make sense - I can't see how Kyosho could have produced two different versions of certain kit parts, and always the SAME parts.
If the Japanese kit ALSO had colour issues, with no complaints, we might be barking up a hopeless tree.
We might also risk killing Senna's McLaren coming here.
(Mind you, I STILL don't agree with a £600+ kit having odd colour problems)
Have a look:

Can I gently remind members not to post photos that they don't own or have permission to use.

Thanks.

Mr T.....
A genuine question.
After looking at the pics on the Japanese build link, do you think/know if they had the same colour problem?
Roy.

£700 for this model and at the moment with regard for apperance it will look like a poundland toy, I think my comment was justified after waiting for more than four weeks and now the parts are pilling up and I think I speak for quite a few people when I say that Intrest is slipping away.Bored

Does anybody else seem to notice the difference in colour between the nose and the monocoque (cockpit sides). In the photos above there seems to be big change?

Colour changes will be affected due to lighting conditions.. fluorescent lights give a "pink" effect where as Natural lighting gives a darker effect...

The biggest problem here isn't DeAg - It's Kyosho.
Have a look at at the results if you Google 'Kyosho problems' or 'Kyosho contact' etc.....
Apparently they are APPALLING when it comes to customer service, replacement parts, or in fact, ANY kind of problem.
See if you can find a contact E-Mail address for them, or their customer services - if they even HAVE such a thing.
I doubt if Sherlock Holmes would be able to.
I will be amazed if DeAg gets the colour issue fixed.
In all honesty, Kyosho are BIG players in the grand scheme of things, and I doubt if they are too bothered by what DeAg might say, particularly if the kit in Japan was the same and had no complaints.
Yes it's a problem, yes we have cause to gripe, but I'm not going to hold my breath over it.
Roy.

I posted these pictures to show a SHINE on the wings which is very apparent on the first front wing picture......absolutely no question Roy !
As already said as per original advertised pictures.

would be easier/cheaper to replace the side pods.

I have a feeling that the replacement issues (refer to earlier posts on issues that will be replaced FOC) will have exactly the same colours as the original issues.

I am still happy carrying on with the build, am up to issue 46 just not doing any construction on the bits that contain the colour problem from this moment in time.

Yes, I can see the shine in the small rear wing pic, but if you look at all the other pics on the Japanese build website, they seem to have had the same colour/shine problem we have.
Even in your posted pics, the larger pics showing the 'whole' car clearly have a satin 'sheen' kind of finish on the front wing, and not a high gloss like the side pod close up.
The Japanese car on the website link has different shine and colour on various panels too.
I wonder if the Japanese subscribers complained?
If they did, Kyosho obviously didn't do anything about it, as they are still supplying us with 'odd' uneven finished parts.
Roy.
