Hi All This months issue's are now finished but here's a few pic's on progress. Firstly the wheels have been finished to a degree with edge chipping . The motion gear has been sand blasted to get an even overall colour I was not going for a shine here as the parts have then been given a coat of Tamiya Smoke which dry's to a shiny dirty oily look and represented the finish I was trying to achieve. More soon regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s):Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

The paint is by Railmatch and is called '2412 Weathered black' I got mine from 'Antics online' it can only be ordered via the website as the shops don't stock it. Hi All this months parts were the adding of brackets and handles , headlight plus the boiler sides and smoke box rear plate nothing to worry about here as they all fitted together with there usual good fit. The only thing I changed was to use piano wire to keep the boiler handle brackets in line. Then it was just a case of degreasing , undercoating and top coat regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s):Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Mark there are various degreasers available from Halfords say see link http://www.halfords.com/...gId=10151&langId=-1 But my method is to use white vinegar as a degreaser I use the same for etch parts too Hope this helps Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I agree with Andy diluted white vinegar is sufficient. and much more cost effective.
