The penultimate piece to be added to this compressor is an oil can. I bought a Mini Art kit which contains several sprues as well as decals and photo etch to make up the different oil cans as shown on the box art in the attached photo. Although it's 1/35 scale and my U-Boat model is 1/48 scale, you can get away with mixing these two scales on certain items. These oil cans being one. Do not mix figures though! That concludes this weeks update. I was hoping to have everything painted and fitted into the U-boat this week but there hasn't been enough time. Brilliant work on the compressor Phil, love the way flat styrene sheet can become a 3D masterpiece! You're right about the scales, 1/32 and 1/35 you'd probably get away with but it's really strange how we can look at photos of groups of soldiers and see every size from shorty to lofty and yet do that on a model and if all the figures aren't the same size it just looks wrong! Really coming on well! Robin.
