Kind Regards Nigel Thanks again Nigel, and no I can't slow down it is such a pleasure to be doing something else.... So pleased I followed your lead on the doors, just didn't seem right to have a gallery with no visible access to it, not unless I wanted my little sailors to climb over rails to get down there.... .. Hi Alan, Excellent work as always, but would I expect anything else . That said, I am amazed that the detail of the doors in the galleries is not part of the official build , but hey ho looks I`m in for some door building in the near future( still second planking lower half, top half completed). Keep up the good work and detailed pics. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

I think the doors just add a little extra detail and to be honest they were fun to make even if a little fiddly.... Regards Alan

Hi there Alan. Looking better all the time, it's those little 'add ons' like the doors that make so much difference and like the others said, the doors are so integral to the gallerys why on earth weren't they included in the build? That brass mesh looks really fine (pardon the pun!) Do you know if on the actual ship they were simply a wooden trellis or were they actually leaded windows? If they were windows you might try going over them with the Micro Krystal Kleer (you can tell it's American can't you! ) or the Humbrol equivalent to actually glaze the mesh. Easy peasy to apply and the effect is just like period glass. Of course if it's not a window just ignore everything I just said! Keep them coming, she's going to be a beautiful Lady! Robin First wooden ship: The Grimsby 12 Gun 'Frigate' by Constructo Second: Bounty DelPrado Part Works Third: HMS Victory DelPrado Part Works 1/100 scale Diorama of the Battle of the Brandywine from the American Revolutionary War Diorama of the Battle of New Falkland (unfinished sci-fi), Great War Centenary Diorama of the Messines Ridge Assault Index for the Victory diary is on page 1

Robin Thanks Robin, have to agree with you, not having gallery doors seems a little odd but hey, they are there now... .. As for the windows, not sure whether they were leaded windows or not and although I have Krystal Kleer I didn't use it in this instant but maybe I should have.. Would have preferred to apply it from the inside as I wouldn't like to spoil it now... will experiment on some spare mesh to see how it looks. If it works out then I may apply it yet... Thanks for the tip and for the very nice comments... Regards Alan
