Only it ended in real time like this.

Good news is that, Bob, now has a stent fitted in the main artery to his heart and the prognosis is good.

Thank goodness for advanced First-Aid from my diving days.

Well here we go again, BigGrin BigGrin

Apologies for the delay in this builds delay.

I`ve had numerous other things going on, then a major refit of my flat.

In between there was a lovely holiday in Cyprus.

So, all that business out the way, let`s get on with this build.

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

When I left this diary for a while, I was at the stage of having the centre airframe almost complete.

That airframe then needed a paint job.

First issue was this:

Paint selected (as shown earlier) went on fine.

Then Cursing peeled off like an orange skin.

So, primed with "Tamiya" light grey, then top coated with "Vallejo" RAL7021 and all`s fine.

Here`s the result of all that effort.Pic 1

From here, I had numerous parts built that were also in need of a paint job.

Firstly the top face of the pilot`s facia panel. Pic 2

Following on from this came the bomb aiming unit, the main bulkheads for each end of the centre fuselage section and the backplate for the pilot`s control panel. Pic 3-6

So, back to a little construction session.

I fitted the two main bulkhead sections to the centre fuselage section.

"WORD of WARNING"

Before you fit these bulkheads, check that everything lines up at least twice.

The reason I say this is because of the following:

The larger bulkhead has 16 locating points

The smaller bulkhead has 14 locating points

If all of these locaters are not in place at this point, then the rest of the fuselage will be out of line.Pic 7

The oil tanks also needed a coat of paint.

The results shown below will be enhanced at a later stage with the addition of, retainer straps and filler caps from the brass etch included in this great kit.Pic 8

So this is where I am at the moment. Pic 9

From here on for a while I will have a shed load of small etch parts to work with.

The airframe, will be about 35-40 pages of instructions later on.

So, I`m back up and running with this one.

Watch this space,LOL LOL

Hi Steve, BigGrin Cool

This is one heck of a kit.

To that end I was not prepared to carry on with it, until, all of the other stuff was out of the way.

Life has now returned to some sort of normality.

Will update as soon as poss, but be prepared for some serious amount of etch bending as this kit is full of it, Flapper Flapper .

Hi All, BigGrin BigGrin

Here we are with the latest update.

A minor amount of construction with a fair bit of painting.

Firstly the construction of the bomb aiming window control handle.

Now according to the instructions, this is real accuracy.

The bend in the brass rod should be 171 degrees, I`ll let you judge Confused

The control head is constructed from six separate parts, just forgot to photo before
construction. Blushing Blushing

Anyway here`s the resultant part. Pic 1

The control gear and the upper bomb window frame are then painted.Pic 2

Along with the two previous parts, you add the acetate window and you have the bomb aiming window complete. Pic 3

The next job is to layer up the pilot`s control panel.
This consists of the back plate, adhesive dial transfer, acetate panel and then the top plate.
More minute detail still has to be added to the panel surface, in the way of buttons, switches
and control levers but that`s for later.

So here we are before the megga detailing. Pic 4

So, just another paint job on the rear gunners seat, yeah you guessed it, "BLACK". Pic 5
.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

This is where we are at the moment. Pic 6

What`s to come?

Pilot seat pads

Pilots seat belts

Control panel detailing

Oil tank retainer straps and filler caps.

Then issue 22:

This forms the pilots control panel mounting plate

Plus, some box sections for some more of the control gear.Pic 7

Well, "That`s all folks", for know anyway.

Suffice to say that this kit is a joy to build.

Happy building,

Regards
