Gandale wrote:Hi Foz, she is looking mighty fine there.... Can't really help with your problems as this is not a build I have or am doing however, there are a couple of finished builds in the Finished builds section that I think you should look at. Think you may find the answers you need there or at least it will give you an idea of how they should look.... Court Orchard's build (Andy) may be of particular interest to you..... Hope this helps you....
Best regards

Hi Alan Thanks for the kind comment, much appreciated. I have looked at the builds you mention but they do not show the detail i require but thanks for taking the time to let me know. I still think though that i need to re-do the foremast shrouds but just need to find a supplier that has the correct size thread in stock. Regards Foz

Hi All Well not got anywhere with the build as it looked a total mess when i started the futtock shrouds. So i have decided to start the foremast shrouds again as i learned a lot from doing the others. So it is time to start again, however, this is were i am hoping that someone out there can help me. I am in need of 0.15mm brown thread. I have been in touch with CMB, who i see as the only UK supplier of this size thread and they will not have any in stock until sometime next year but i do not really want to put the build on hold until then. So i am asking you all out there if anyone has this size thread that they can send me. I am willing to pay all costs if there is anyone out there that can help me out. Regards Foz

Hi All. Just a quick update. Have now re-done the foremast shrouds as i did not like the look of what i did at first. Once i had tied all the rat lines on i coated all of the knots with watered down PVA glue and left it to completely dry before sniping off all of the ends. I am more happy with the second attempt than the first. Now have to re-fix the lower foremast spar as it has been dislodged by doing the shrouds then its time for the futtock shrouds. After looking around i am going to add the futtock stave, from what i have seen on pictures and notes i have found there were on the Endeavor, how ever the magazine does not say to add them. As always any comments are most welcome and happy building. Regards Foz

Thanks for the very nice comments lads, much appreciated. It has taught me a lot by re-doing them but it does send me boss eyed tying all the knots so only do about 3 or 4 lines at a time. Regards Foz
