Some more progress made on this one. Carried on working on some of the ancillary items starting with the hand axe, the shaft from this has been carved from 4mm dowel, completed axe then matt varnished. Next on the list was to make up the supports for the mast, supports are used only when the mast is in the stowed position. Supports had to be drawn, cut and carved from 3.5 x 17mm Lime wood strip then varnished. The two base supports were made from 4x6mm lime wood with 4mm holes being drilled, starting with a 1mm drill bit and working up to 4mm. Also made up 4 x securing blocks to be fitted later..... To make up the sail bag I cut a piece of old wooden curtain rail 30mm in diameter and wrapped it in cling film. Cut a piece of canvas and wrapped it round the rail and glued the seam using contact adhesive, the cling film prevented the canvas sticking to the rail... Folded over the ends and glued, once dried simply removed the rail and packed the bag with cut strips of material. Tied off the top to finish.... Last task on this build session was to make up the stern hatch covers and floor gratings. Gratings proved to be a long process due to the strips provided being too thick to fit into the cross pieces and required to be sanded down to fit. Once done, all given a fine sanding followed by 2 coats of matt varnish. The gratings are not yet glued in position, they are simply dry fitted for now..... That's it for now, more to come soon, so until then happy building all.... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Thanks Guys, appreciated.. @Jack, she has her problems just as any kit does and it certainly not a kit for the beginner. That said though, she is an absolute joy to build..... .. Thanks again..... Regards Alan
