Have planked the false bottom and have also painted and assembled the brake arm and shoes. Once the various straps and rods were bent to shape, holes were drilled in the straps and pins used to affix them to the wood. They were primed and painted matt black and are currently awaiting a coat of gloss black. Spal attached the following image(s):

The detail of the carriage assembly looks great, it’s goint be a lovely looking model when you done, well done

Nice update Al your build inspired me to start mine. Ive done a couple of wheels and half way through the planking. Its a very enjoyable build so far. Your build has helped me out a few times so thanks for that Steve Built- Shelby Mustang, Lamborghini Huracan Building-Spitfire, Redbull racing RB7, 3d printer, Honda CB750, Stage coach and Revell 1/400 Titanic
