Al Hi, Thank you Al, well of course I have nothing to compare this build to having never done anything like this before, perhaps that's a good thing as I have an open view as they say...who knows, but even I can see how well the parts are made and go together, the gloss finish is so impressive I have a hard time taking pics at times and I'm enjoying watching her come together bit by bit each week!!! May.

Hi, Issue 24Subframe Part 6 This week we attach the right hand braces to the Subframe, I found it a bit easier to do steps 7 and 10 the "other way around" once the screw was in place for step 10 I then fixed the pin into place as seen in step 7 and then tightened the screw, well it worked out well for me anyway See you next week, May. Hi, So we're quarter of the way though the build and I thought it would be nice to take a photo of all of the "bits 'n' bobs" we've been supplied so far. May. MFG attached the following image(s):

Hi, Issue 26Subframe part 8 This week we attach the Steering rack bracket and the left side lower brace. Both of these parts went on with little fuss. The right side lower bracket and the oil filter that are supplied aren't needed so these were labelled and stored away for later. See you next week May. MFG attached the following image(s):

Looking good so far. This is that weird/interesting time when there is a lot of built stuff but nothing yet in the form of a car haha. DeAgostini kit builds:

Hi, Issue 27Front Right Suspension Lots of scary small parts to potentially lose this week and I had some problems along the way. Firstly nether of the two supplied JP04 screws fitted into the receiving hole on the Caliper but the one that I had in my spare box fitted perfectly when I compared the three the supplied ones were slightly wider than my spare one. Next up, the supplied JD06 screw just refused to screw into the top receiving hole of the suspension upright all the way leaving it very loose I then remembered a "trick" a learnt whilst building the DeLorean which is to unscrew the screw slightly and then re-screw it again. I carried on doing this until it had gone in deep enough and then swapped it out for the supplied spare one as the head was starting to wear. My last problem was lining up the Pivot pin with the Shock Absorber, I daren't use tweezers as things have a habit of "pinging" out of them when I use them with small things and I was also very cautious about losing it, using my nails instead to hold it, it took me ages to get the position of the Shock Absorber right so that the pin would pass though, this was one of those moments when I wished for a third hand!! All in all a far more challenging week for me than the last few issues but with a bit of perseverance and the occasional naughty word "here and there" I now have a very nice, working front suspension More of the same next week, hopefully things will go a bit smoother, thanks for dropping in, May.
