Hi everyone , The ships wheel, will be a split ships wheel (2 complete brass turned wheels) same size as the one supplied in the Deag Victory build, but the spokes are totally in scale. It will be sold as a seperate item,as soon as I have a price I will post this on a new topic Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hi Mike
Any ideas on when you will have a prototype so to speak that we can see and then from there how long it will be until production? I'm nearly at this stage now and would be nice to have an idea on timescale to decide what I want to do.
Thanks

PROJECT UPDATE I would like to thank Blue Joe for his enquiry, the feasability study will be completed in about 10 days, then if we have a go situation, we will produce in 21 days, then ship within 7 days. I stopped building my Victory at Issue 40,and the manufacturer is using my ship as the template for measuring etc. I hope that answers your questions ok Blue Joe ? Kind regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

LATEST UPDATE The preliminary work carried out by our manufacturer is good. more measurements, and some more work to do, but I will have a final answer, with the price, a week on Monday ( 23rd April ) thank you for your tolerance I feel it will be worth it.If all goes according to plan we will have two layers of brass etchings, one for the windows and one for the ballestrades so giving the whole enhancement depth, and will look fantastic We will also include the Victory name plate for the stern(the correct one) we will also include the Binnicle, all made from Brass, all as a pack. Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

That's brilliant Mike and the binnacle will make a great addition to the build. Maybe you could source us some fire buckets at a later date as it doesn't look as though we'll be getting any of these in our build. Sorry if that sounded a bit cheeky - I wouldn't know where to start myself being a complete 'newbie' at all this. I don't want you to think I'm taking advantage of your experience - it was just thinking out loud really Anyway, thanks again and happy building David

David you are not being cheeky I have a source just in case, 3.3mm at the rim 2.8mm at the base (across in both cases) made from turned brass. handles would have to be formed from thin brass wire Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

For those that have already completed the ballustrading at the back, will there be any chance of purchasing the binnacle and nameplate separately?? Or even just the nameplate??
