I posted these pictures to show a SHINE on the wings which is very apparent on the first front wing picture......absolutely no question Roy !
As already said as per original advertised pictures.

Yes, I can see the shine in the small rear wing pic, but if you look at all the other pics on the Japanese build website, they seem to have had the same colour/shine problem we have.
Even in your posted pics, the larger pics showing the 'whole' car clearly have a satin 'sheen' kind of finish on the front wing, and not a high gloss like the side pod close up.
The Japanese car on the website link has different shine and colour on various panels too.
I wonder if the Japanese subscribers complained?
If they did, Kyosho obviously didn't do anything about it, as they are still supplying us with 'odd' uneven finished parts.
Roy.

One picture that says it all appears every week on the front of our build magazine....right in front of our eyes !!

honestly the only solution to this is to supply completely new front and rear wings to match the colour of the sidepods.

would be easier/cheaper to replace the side pods.

I have a feeling that the replacement issues (refer to earlier posts on issues that will be replaced FOC) will have exactly the same colours as the original issues.

I am still happy carrying on with the build, am up to issue 46 just not doing any construction on the bits that contain the colour problem from this moment in time.

What about the future red parts that look same colour as sidepods ?

surely the top and bottom of all this is for £600+ of our very hard earned money is that we have a model with the same colour red sections all over with the same sheen , i dont think thats to much to ask for , and not be left with a repair job which may or may not work which would stand out like a sore thumb every time you looked at it .

I'm quite sad about all this, I thought by going for the best and most expensive model at my first attempt I would have something to enjoy for many years to come.
Hope this gets resolved Confused

First of all I do not follow F1 as a fan, but my daughter is a keen supporter of Lewis Hamilton, and I have taken a small interest in this thread. My daughter was watching the Formula 1 show on sky this morning which showed a clip of Lewis having an accident at the 2008 Bahrain G.P. She was keen to show me the clip as it looked an "interesting" accident.
However I noticed that there was a difference in the red colour between the rear wing and the and the red running down the front of the nose of the car. The wing looked much more orange than the sides.

This was a very brief clip, so was difficult to see exactly, but to me there was a difference in colour. I have seen other pictures which members have shown which make them look the same colour, but that could just be lighting.

My daughter is currently watching the practise session on T.V. at the moment and I have just seen the current car which seems to show that the current car has the same colours all over.

As I said at the start I don't really follow F1, but I have watched a number of races over the years (which go back to Jim Clark) and have seen in the past that paint colours/ wing shapes/sponsors logo's and all manner of things change during a season, so maybe the colours of this model were based on colours used at a particular Grand Prix at some point in 2008. After all Mclaren have endorsed the model, and as F1 teams seem very particular about their endorsements I am sure they would have made sure the model was as good as it could get (including colours) before they approved it. So maybe there is not a problem, hence Admin's lack of input.

A fair point about the 'real' colours, but if there's no problem, why are DeAg happy to send out replacement parts?
I recieved all my replacements this morning - no charge.

Roy, what have they replaced. Is it just the front wing or both front and rear, and are they the same colour/finish as the problem set.

I can't say that I am confident that this will be fixed to many peoples satisfaction. I can't see Deag/Kyosho remanufacturing thousands of new front and rear wings and sending them out for free, which is what it will take to satisfy every one.

I personally have two subscritions, and have bought extra parts to build two spare rear wings and about four or five spare front wings. I would expect all of those replacing as well. I just don't see it happening.

I think we will be told that the colour/finish is as it should be because I can't see that sort of mistake happening accidentaly and not being picked up by anyone, especially as the full kit has being rolled out in Japan for some time now.

I hope i'm wrong and everyone is happy in the end.

If I were to buy anything I would expect it to be as described....not nearly, but as described !
Whatever the problem, it is my consumer right to expect the item to be merchantable quality.
If not you are allowed full refund. In this case it will be, plus my time building the item.
Some on here will accept a lesser standard....that is up to them.

You will only give them a shine...it will NOT change the colour. As per previous posts inc mine it has been already been attempted.

DeAg have sent me all the bits for the front wing and yes, they are just the 'same' parts.
I very seriously doubt that Kyosho are going to re-do all these bits just because around 20-odd people are complaining on this forum.
I wonder how many thousands of people are building this kit in the UK, and haven't complained.
Don't get me wrong - I think there IS a problem.
I'm just being realistic in business terms.
DeAg/Kyosho have sold who-knows how many thousand kits in Japan and there can't have been many/any complaints there - they DIDN'T alter the kit before releasing it to us in the UK.
I will be the first to cheer if they offer re-coloured parts, but equally, I'll be absolutely amazed if they do.
I'm NOT just accepting 'second best' - I'm being realistic.
