That`s looking good. That lump of an engine is a bit of a job to locate, but as you say a little wiggle here and there and in it goes. Love the upgrades as well. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Lovely job Dave. The realism is out of this world. You have done a top job on the engine. I would love to do this one. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Thanks for your kind comments, comrades in modelling Installed engine shaft vibration dampener, scratchbuilt earlier. I was a bit worried about the fit as it was all by guesstimate but it fit perfectly and installed with just a tiny dab of superglue. Stage 51. The braided steel hoses look very realistic. I keep getting amazed by the quality of DeAgostini parts, a lot better than comparable Pocher 1/8 scale models. The only thing is that according to engine pics online, the longer radiator hose doesn't drape over the engine but is hidden underneath, looks like it's going around the engine. However, the supplied cable is too short to place it this way, so I cut it in half, attached the two connectors to the oil filter and the radiator, and duct-taped the loose ends under the radiators. From the top it looks like the hose goes all the way around the engine as it's supposed to. Stage 32. Tested all steering wheel functions, looks great. Installed A/C outlets and connected the steering column. Walter Wolf's Countach steering wheel has yellow stitching so to simulate it, I dipped the tip of a toothpick in yellow enamel paint and carefully dragged it along the inner rim of the steering wheel, wiping off the excess paint. The resulting narrow line (can be seen in the picture) nicely simulates yellow cross-stitching. I also painted indicators on the stereo with white translucent paint, as per interior pictures gleaned online, and painted the stereo screen with translucent green paint with an extra layer of gloss enamel. This adds more realism to the dashboard. Final stages in this pack to follow shortly; it's my 15th wedding anniversary today so have some other plans DaveSea attached the following image(s): Completed Building Walter Wolf's Lamborghini Countach LP 500S, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa, Honda CB750.
