Hi Alan, AAS. & Derek, Thanks for your encouraging comments. Looking a the Italian build, it looks like we sand down the bamboo planks to 2mm from the back of the false keel. Hi, I have a back log of photo's showing the bottom half of the hull being finished. Planking is a little ropey in places, but I am hoping sand paper and elbow grease will sort it out. Here is my progress..    Claret. Also working on:

Hi, And continuing on from the last post, I have ensured I have used copious amounts of glue along all the plank edges and on the rib forms.    A view of the bow..  Almost complete!  Claret Also working on:

Hi, I glued the back parts, which fitted very well, added the dummy gun supports, using pins from behind, plenty of glue and a few off cuts to add more support.    Then started to plank upwards.      Thats all for now. Thanks for looking in. Claret. Also working on:

H Alan, Thanks for the kind comments. Slow progress at present, fitting last rows of planks with no ribs to clamp or pin to. Gluing one row, clamping them and allowing the glue to cure for 24 hours. Regards Claret Also working on:

Hi Claret! A really nice and clean work, well done! Do you only glue the planks on the ribs or do you also glue them to each other? I always also glue them at the thin side of the wooden strip to each other because with this I get better results and don´t have to sand very much. Also preparing the gunports is easier.
