Nemesis wrote:Hi davetwin, the interior decals are from Archer and a company in Poland called Weikert. Many thanks Nemesis, really appreciate it, although I am going to be mainly building this 'out of the box' I really liked the fire extinguisher decals and had been struggling to find them

You are really cruising through this Nemesis, cant be much longer until you get start on the weathering, I am really looking forward to that part of the build

So the weathering process has begun! Decided to do the exhausts before fitting as they will be impossible to do when fitted and the covers are on.

The master at work again! This build is something special and out of the ordinary. I put Nemesis' Tiger Tank build diary forward for the yellow outstanding build medal. Who is with me?

Another replacement I am doing is the cupola MG and its mount. The ones I got with the kit were poorly cast and while I was attempting to clean up the castings, the mount literally fell apart! So I have got Schumo replacements, and the difference is plain to see!!Kit parts. Replacements. And here you can see the difference in the MG itself, top is the kit part, bottom is the replacement.

Saran Moving along at a pace with your build. Nice to see the paintwork appearing as this is really going to turn this into something very special. You have quite an investment in this one with all those added extras so hope you have found somewhere safe to display it. Happy Modelling

Well the bow MG was terrible, the barrel was bent and no detail on it either! So it got modded with an Aber one!!! And here are both in primer, they look so much better!! Exhausts and armored covers done and ready to fit.

Amazing work Nem Really love the exhausts and covers, care to divulge the weathering technique used on this for future reference? Steve

Hi stevie_o, thanks for the comments. Everyone has a different way of weathering, you just sort of play about until you find a way that works for you. I used a scrap model as a test bed. But I will certainly do a post in model know how on my techniques and hopefully it may help someone.

Nicely done the mods to the MG are a massive improvement. your weathering of the exhausts is spot on too Loving your build matey Jase “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

I love my pe and hinge bending tool !! Rear mud guards done and the drivers and radio operators hatches done. Front mud guards to do and then I can mask the complete hull ready for the camo paint job.
