Thank you for your comments.. I've been building this one for 3 months planking the hull was the slowest and most time consuming part at the moment.. This is my First wooden ship. I normally make Hasegawa Planes with photoetch parts. This is so much easier and you get more pleasure as plastic kits are all precut as these ships you have to make the parts from strips of wood.

Thanks Chris..

Absolutely stunning construction Magpie!! Love the contrasting panelling on the deck edging. The rudder chain looks bright - will it be "weathered in?"

btw I have some sort of recollection that you are a Nukes fan. If you are, congratz on promotion lol!!!Laugh

Here is the front. Where I had to make my own parts as the ply was twisted and gluing veneer onto it warped it more... so Planks left over from hull made these up..

Hi Colin,
Yes it is the Model space A/L San Francisco II,BigGrin
Well worth it. The Planks are Mahogany, The rubbing strakes and other darker parts are Applewood and the deck is Ramin. Some of the ply parts are twisted but soon get sorted out. I'm glad I got this one first it is a bit more challenging than some of the smaller ships but worth it.

Thanks for the comments as well.
