So i just started Issue 34, and as i was sanding a few of the planks are deformed, and thus deformed the overall shape. i have just got Pollyfilla wood filler to add the shape and i'm sanding it down in order to have a perfect smooth base,
the question I ask is, the next step where i start to glue the stained thin strips to the outside... will they glue well to the parts of the hull that are covered in the wood filler? or will i need to cover it in a layer of PVA wood glue or spray it with something first?
Or will it just be good to go? :)

 Hi Jet depends on what type of filler it is and to be honest Polyfiller is not the best type of filler to use as it tends to crumble away even after sanding back as its a powder type filler a better filler would be a two part filler like Ronseal's wood filler you wont have ant problems with that, if its the soft powdery type then after sanding back to your desired finish a coat of watered down %50 PVA should do fine but if its the car body type filler that sets hard then the strips should just glue straight to it. regards Andy  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

hi, just a bit more info on the filla, if you use pva coating on the filla,you will find it Very difficult to sand,I would use aliphatic glue instead,much easier to sand, then seal the filla and glue with matt varnish, then I would use gel superglue for the ornate strips. Im happy at this stage :) it was a mess before the filler lol!! here she is now :)
