Had to have one of these amazing cars after seeing the preview issues through Japanese sites yrs back; so when the opportunity came to buy one direct and have it shipped down under well I DID!!!

This is actually the first kit i've ever successfully completed; i'm nowhere near the build skill of almost everyone if not everyone on this forum but I managed to add a few extra details along the way

And now a teaser of the nearly finished product [including wooden underguards for the front wing rather than the plastic pieces of the kit - just waiting on body decals [the ummmm well waterside decals which came w/ the kits are damn near impossible to use correctly so I cut my losses - have a full body set coming including the Marlboro so :D ]

The figure came w/ the kit but was a gift w/ the Japanese release; the Marlboro decals were bought separately

Definitely was an exciting day when I could finally pick the package up at the Post Office :D!

Wow, that really is superb!

Can I also ask about the decals? You mentioned the kit water slide decals - were there any "carbon fibre" ones?

I'm trying to get a handle on what decals will be supplied with the kit itself (but I've managed to source some full body carbon fibre decals just in case). That and the fact that I'm definitely going to add the tobacco sponsorship logos as well means that about a gallon of Mister Mark or Microsol decal softener etc needs to be added to the shopping list Laugh

Meanwhile, my first package has arrived and I'm sitting staring at the contents Drool ; just taking in the fact that I'm going to have this iconic car for my collection. BigGrin

Cheers,

Grant

Beautiful work, DaDakota: when using the Museum Collection decals did they come with any instructions in English? I received some of the sheets today, but all the instructions are in a foreign language. Mad did you have any problems or can offer some tips on using the decals?

Looks amazing and an inspiration to us all.

Just shows that you do not really need to add anything more that Marly decals.
