I should really have posted this on my original post but thought it might be missed.

This is a very humble major thanks to Karl and Jase for your advice.

I posted a note about note reducing the 1.5mm reduction on some of the victory planks. Pressing on I had glued these as full size planks. Most will think not an issue but this is my second attempt at victory having totally messed up my first frameork.

I lost my dad in November last - seems like an age ago but it gets no easier. He was interested in this model I am trying to build it in his memory.

Karl and backed up by Jase advised me what I should do - total doubter me and thought it would not work. I now have a week off from my job in openreach and tried the hot water on glue trick and it worked a treat.

To most you this might not sound like a big deal - to me it is as I really could not wreck a second attempt.

I feel very humble and really want to thank you guys for your help. What i have learned here is listen to the help offered and be so pleased to have such a group of brilliant people to talk too.

One thing I have noted is that if I ever complete this build is do not put it in the bath or it's an airfix kit again.

Thanks again everyone - I have learnt a lot with this query.

Kind regards

Tony
Happy Modelling
