I have made the Binnacle, but now I'm stuck on what to use foe the two compasses and the lamp.
Has anyone made these things, and what out of eg wood, metal or plastic.
Thanks,

I am sure both of these have been maid in at least one build diary, but forget who's it was, however they used cocktail sticks painted up for the lamp as I recall.

Thanks Jase, I have tried all sorts of things, but don't look right.
I going to try a masthead light next, and for the compasses I thought about two very small tacks with there heads filed flat, and stuck on a piece of square wood, then painted grey.

Hi Glen,
Bernds guide is excellent and you won't go far wrong if you follow that one. I used a brass pin head for the center, the kind you get in a picture hanging kit, the compass parts were done with the heads of those brass split pins for holding sheets of paper together and the whole binnacle was made using tin sheet and clear acetate.
Page 14 of my diary shows the end result although not very close up.
