Viperek asked 'does victory have a bend'? Well mine did, only not the way you mentioned, after fixing the first deck and glue'ing the frame (using watered down glue) I left the hull to dry, when I looked at it the next day I was devestated to see it had a bend from where the keel sections join! (see Photo's).
I first thought I'd have to try and strip it down and do a re-build but then decided to try and straighten it by giving it a soak in the bath, (bet I'm the first to launch this 'Victory build' into the water), I then put it back on the 'slip-way' but moved some of the fixing blocks to force the bend the other way!
After leaving it in that position for two days I breathed a big sigh of relief when I saw it was once again straight.
It just go's to show that whoever it was that used 'jig & clamps' and glued the ribs onto the keel before fixing the deck probably had a far better outcome than slapping all that watered down glue all over the place and leaving it to dry out with no clamps! The other thing to remember 'cock-up's in wood are usually not fatal' and things can be salvaged.

And now the corrected hull! not perfect, but I'm much happier!

That looks very familiar!Blink
I think by painting the glue fully on one side then the other must have caused it to 'warp' while drying out unevenly, that's why I decided to put it in hot water (about 2-3 inches deep) to soften the joints (as I would if it was my back that was bent), then to straighten it out I took a length of plank and drew a straight line allong the centre, estimated where the bend started (was where the keel is joined) and offset the wooden blocks from that point in the opposite direction of the bend, the offset was graduated and was very slight as I did'nt want it bent the other way. probably less than an eighth of an inch at the end of the keel (2mm), if it's not right just do it again with bigger or smaller adjustments.
As you can see there's nothing too technical in it, basically trial and error, I think I was lucky and got it in one go!Laugh

best of luck
